The speech in English
　About two decades ago a Japanese prime minister made a speech in English at the United Nations in New York.
　Right after the speech one representative from Europe said, “I didn’t know that the Japanese language is so similar to English.”

渡航自由化
　あるアジアの国の独裁者が、夜にベッドルームで彼の妻に話していた。
　彼「この国は本当にひどいものだ。もし国民に外国渡航を自由化したら、誰もこの国には残らないだろう。ふたりを除いては」
　妻「もう一人は、どなたですの？」

Father to teenage daughter
　Father: I want you home by 11 o’clock.
　Daughter: But, Daddy, I am no longer a child!
　Father: I know. That’s why I want you home by 11.
